PHILOSOPHY
Ryden is a palette and knife painter who uses only oil. You will find yourself smiling as soon as you see his impressionistic paintings. He is an abstract expressionist who is mainly interested in surface and prefers to work on large canvases, painting generous fast strokes with wet into wet for effect. He creates art infused with vivid color and defined strokes. His paintings are simple, direct and colorful.

BACKGROUND
Recent award was People’s Choice at the Landings Art Show –Savannah’s largest Art Show. Over 500 attendees voted “Froggy” their favorite out of submissions from 110 artists. David’s work has recently been showcased at Cutter’s Point Coffee in Sandfly, GA. David lived in Arlington Heights, IL for 50 years and now resides on Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA. He paints when not otherwise occupied.
